This year's Cortland apples from the tree in the yard
are not mighty in numbers,
are not mighty in numbers,
but they make up for it with their size.
We took a trip to the orchard across the lake today.
The crop is so limited that there is no pick your own this year.
But they still have plenty of cider.
There is nothing like fresh hot cider on a cold fall evening.

We've had a similer problem here. We didn't get the apple trees sprayed in time, so what we DID get for apples are buggy as heck. No pears, AT ALL, this year. And local orchards are reporting early picking seasons with lower than usual yeilds.....
