Dear, sweet Ember let us go for a walk in the moonlight,
a lovely stroll beneath the stars,
where in the beam of a flashlight you can moon the neighbors,
and go poo poo in their yards.
Then we shall return home -
you with a look of resigned frustration plastered on your face,
because tightly tied up in a bag
is the deposit you so carefully placed.
Unlike you, I remember the civic responsibility
and the importance of not making our neighbors gag.
