To quote from Matthew 6:25-27 (New American Standard Version)
"For this reason I say to you, do not be anxious for your life, as to what you shall eat, or what you shall drink; nor for your body, as to what you shall put on. Is not life more than food, and the body than clothing? Look at the birds of the air, that they do not sow, neither do they reap, nor gather into barns, and yet your Heavenly Father feeds them. Are you not worth much more than they? And which of you by being anxious can add a single cubit to his life span?"
Jesus' monologue goes on to make some very valid points. Strangely though, it also struck me as a bit funny, because the neighborhood robins have been partying hard on fermented serviceberries and then flying into the neighbor's picture window. So while we've been dealing with some nasty medical stuff, the local wildlife seems to be getting drunk with the Lord's blessings. Some days we are envious of our pets and the leisurely life they lead. Today I think that I'm a little jealous of robins.
