Beautiful Summer

Beautiful lines, but the color is one of those that makes you ask "WHY??"  In the pictures it looks much more yellow than it really is.  Of course, it might not have sold very well if it was advertised as a car the color of split pea baby poop.  Hopefully when the restoration shop is done with it, it will be a different color.

 This little beauty might belong to one of the mechanics.
It is so tiny next to the pick up truck.  The preferences of the mechanics at the restoration shop are definitely varied.

And here are some of the first fruits of summer.

Fresh green beans, sunsugar tomatoes, and cucumbers.

The steak and potatoes of course come from the store.  The city frowns on having large bovine pets mow/graze one's lawn.
Imagine the size of the pooper scooper needed to clean up after that.

Ahh, Quiet

Well, relative quiet that is.

There is still plenty of noise coming from outside the house.

"Ma, what was the big idea letting guests use the guest beds

for 2 1/2 weeks?  Ooo, this is nice being able to stretch out on my guest bed again.  Time for a nap."

The DVD marathon of Dr. Who seasons 1-7, Thor, Captain America, Iron Man 1-3, The Avengers, American Treasure 1&2, The Lord of the Rings Trilogy, The Pirates of the Caribbean series, The Hunger Games, The Black Stallion, Alice, Hidalgo, Indiana Jones, James May's Man Lab, Chronicles of Narnia, Saddle Club, The Mummy 1 & 2, Secondhand Lions, and a little Top Gear was a bit much.  I think the DVD player is tired too.

Oh well, this is so comfy....and quiet; I'll manage somehow.

Tis quiet around here without the niece and nephew, but it was also a juggling act keeping them, mom, hubby, dog, cat, rabbit, and three gardens maintained.  It is time to pick up some of the things that were dropped.  Isn't summer vacation grand?
