One Worm

gave its all today.  A number of perch were caught and tossed back.  The sun shone in the sky and there wasn't a single 1040 form in sight.  It wasn't warm, but we'll take what we can get.  Hey, the water is all liquid now.  And even better, there are 11 worms left in the container.  The future holds the promise of additional fishing adventures.

More Stuff

Please bear with my rather lame posts of late.  Now that mom & stepfather's 2012 tax return is complete, it is time to go back and fix issues with 2009, 2010, & 2011.  Hopefully by the end of today, 2009 will be fixed.  Some of the puzzle pieces are still missing for the other years.  I see more digging and sorting through records in my future.

And now for something completely different to brighten the day.

Just a reminder this is NOT my car.  I was merely fortunate enough to catch a glimpse of it one day.  Now doesn't that look like the perfect vehicle in which to run away for a while?  My 2005 Honda Civic 4 door is ideal for transporting mom, stepfather, and stuff, but it lacks the zing of the 94 two door, blasted iron moths.

Maybe tomorrow will be sunny and warm-ish.  The line has been changed on the fishing rods, licenses have been renewed, and bait is waiting patiently in the fridge.  The man at the hardware store said "they are guaranteed to catch fish, or die trying".

Movie

We finally went to see the Hobbit the other night at the budget theatre.  It would have been really nice if someone had told us that the movie was only the first half of the story.  It was 2 3/4 hours long.  Wonder if they will release one or two more movies to finish the story.  By the time it is all done, I would not be at all surprised if hubby can read the book faster than it takes for the movies to play.

For some reason I enjoyed reading the Lord of the Rings, but not the Hobbit.  Maybe it was a creepy, animated version I saw at a friend's house when I was a child.  Anyway I was already prejudiced against it before even setting foot inside the theatre.  Oh, and then there is the obvious point that all the makeup in the world could not disguise that the actor playing Gandalf and the actor playing Frodo at the beginning flash-forward were noticeably older than in the Lord of the Rings movies.
