The two at the bottom of the photo are more typical of what I usually find when I dig up the carrots.

    The bottom two would win "blue ribbon" from MY gardens. Excellent! I think there is some beef stew in your future.

      The carrot went into the beef stew last night along with a kohlrabi, green beans, potatoes, and tomato sauce.
