The spearing season has been going rather well.
The ice is nice and thick, and visibility has been exceptional.

There's sturgeon fishing where Dad lives, it's pretty controlled, but I remember getting to eat some fresh caught once and it was really, really good.

DeleteI'm pretty sure the season closed really early. A couple days ago I saw a caravan you wouldn't see many other places in the country. It was a snowplow followed by four or five pickup trucks or SUV type vehicles each towing sturgeon spearing ice shanties.
