Going Home!

Many thanks to all of you who have been praying

for Ma & Pa-in-law!

Ma-in-law is feeling somewhat better and is much more herself; the recovery is quite wonderful.

Please keep praying that the new medication will not upset her stomach a lot and for pa-in-law's strength and morale as she continues to recover - we hope - and pray.

Hubby, I, and Chloe are headed back home tomorrow on a long road trip.  Now nobody get any naughty ideas about messing with our place before we get back.  The next door neighbor is keeping an eye on it and he is a very good shot with bow, shotgun, and rifle.

My dad deserves a really big hug and a huge batch of oatmeal chocolate chip cookies for taking care of the house, cat, & fish during this unexpected journey! 

Never thought we could miss the old 136 year old place quite so much.  It has been standing for portions of three centuries now.  Thank God it is not on any historical society registries, because we have a lot of work to do on it and could not afford full historical accuracy and "hysterical society meddling" in the remodel.  They'd probably make us remove the vinyl siding.  I really love vinyl siding, because I don't have to climb scaffolding 30' in the air to paint the house every few years.  If anybody gets pesky about historical accuracy, they will be persuaded to change their minds when I start digging the hole for a "historically accurate outhouse" in the front yard.

Wonder what the pumpkins look like now?
